He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Troy and Lillie Poteete, Leon and Pearl Jarrard aunts, Carol Fountain and Irma Poteete uncles, E.L. His heart for others showed, and he was the most giving person you would meet a pure heart of gold. Shannon will always be remembered as the best father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, along with so many other roles he filled in people's lives. He loved sports and watching his son, Jarrard play ball was his favorite. He was a numbers man and a quick thinker. While spending most of his life as a car dealer, he also loved trading horses, auctions, and his job. He had a passion for buying and selling just about anything. While at Connors, Shannon met his future wife, Tobi Kizzia, with whom he would begin a family with which includes the two loves of his life, son, Jarrard and daughter, Navi. He was an all-state player in both football and baseball choosing baseball, he was a 4A baseball state champion.Īfter high school, Shannon attended Connors State College on a baseball scholarship under Coach Perry Keith. While at Stilwell High School, his senior year, Shannon played football, basketball, and baseball. Growing up with the love of sports, to say it simply, Shannon was a competitive athlete and leader. He then transferred to Stilwell High School, completing his senior year, and graduating with the class of 1990. He attended Webbers Falls Public Schools throughout his junior year.
